Want to build your skills and confidence in using technology? Join our Library Technology Assistants for this series of digital literacy workshops. We’ll cover everything from the basics, to how to stay safe online, to how to host and attend virtual and hybrid meetings. Attend one or all sessions to fit your needs! 

This series is funded by a special grant supported by ALA and AT&T as part of a nationwide incentive to increase digital literacy.

Build your skills and confidence in using technology with our library Technology Assistants in this first class of our digital literacy series! Learn how to use basic functions on a desktop computer as well as how to browse the internet and use email. We'll have hands-on learning and time to answer all your computer questions.


Staying Safe Online

Monday, October 30 - 3:00 - 4:00 pm

Learn how to keep your personal information and finances safe when browsing or shopping on the web. After this class, you'll be equipped with the skills to avoid the various email and internet scams that predators use and great guidelines for how to share information online.


You're on Mute: Videoconferencing Basics

Monday, November 13 - 3:00 - 4:00 pm

Are you stuck on mute? What's a waiting room? How do I share my screen? If you need help hosting or joining virtual meetings, this is the class for you. Join our library Technology Assistants and we will teach you all you need to be a web meeting pro.
