Police
The Anacortes Police Department is located at 1218 24th Street. We serve approximately 18,000 residents over about 15 square miles on Fidalgo Island in Skagit County Washington. APD provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week patrol and emergency response service. Our office is staffed five days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Department Sections
Under the direction of Chief of Police Dave Floyd, the Department is divided into three sections: Patrol, Detectives and Administration.
Staff
When fully-staffed, there are 28 commissioned employees and 8 non-commissioned employees working for the department.
