Doing Business With the City of Anacortes
The three basic types of opportunities to work with us include:
- Purchasing materials, supplies and equipment
- Professional and personal services
- Public works and small works roster
**NEW L&I Requirement beginning July 1, 2019!**
Beginning July 1, 2019, all businesses are required to have training through L&I's website before bidding and/or performing work on public works projects.
You are exempt from this training requirement if you've been in business with an active Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number for 3 or more years AND have performed work on 3 or more public works projects. Learn more about this new requirement.
Contractors can now access online training through your Prevailing Wage Intent & Affidavit portal to learn about prevailing wage and public works projects plus meet the new training requirement. This training includes five videos that walk through your requirements from start to finish on a public works project. Take the training at your own pace during any time of the day! Once completed, you'll meet the new training requirement that goes into effect July 1, 2019.
Log in to your account to begin taking the training today. Exempt Contractors: You will have access to the videos in mid-June and are welcome to still take the training at that time.
Use the Verify a Contractor tool to verify the training status for your company or other businesses. For projects starting on or after July 1, 2019, contractors and awarding agencies need to add this training requirement to the items you use to verify a business is responsible before hiring and working on public works projects.
