The Anacortes Museum houses a collection of many hundreds of charts and maps, including railroad maps, town plat maps, nautical charts as well as fish trap maps. A number of ship’s plans can also be found, including those of the W.T. PRESTON. Artifacts & Historic Objects

Many artifacts in the museum show the lifestyles of early Anacortesans, and also those who lived here before Anacortes existed. Anacortes Photographers

The Anacortes Museum houses a photograph collection of over 50,000 prints depicting local events, industries and people from Anacortes' earliest days to the present. Many prominent photographers are featured, including James Booen, David B. Ewing, Ferd Brady, Lance Burdon, Charles Judd, Darius Kinsey, Cornelius Root, Frank LaRoche and Wallie Funk. In 2004, the Wallie Funk collection was acquired, giving us an extensive record of the life of Anacortes. Now you can Search the Anacortes Museum Database and explore local history from your home.
