The Parks and Recreation Department seeks to preserve and enhance the quality of life that our residents enjoy by providing quality recreational facilities and opportunities regardless of age, race, sex, wealth and ability.

Ship Harbor Interpretive Preserve Trail
  1. A Town 2018 Fall Edition

    The A Town is our Town brochure includes Anacortes Briefings, Recreation Programs and Community Programs. Sign ups for Parks and Recreation classes will start on Monday, August 20, 2018 - online at anacorteswa.gov A Town Fall 2018
  2. OPEN STREETS AND BUSKERFEST - AUGUST 26

    Open Streets Anacortes will happen on Sunday, August 26 where residents are invited to bike, stroll, skate, run and walk through the downtown streets. Buskers will fill the downtown area during the 3rd Annual Buskerfest. Read on...
  3. Storvik Park Spray Pad

    Spray pad is open everyday 11am-6pm. We will post signs at Park if we need to close for cleaning or maintenance. We will keep the pad on thru Labor day weekend.

Neighborhoods Video

Anacortes is the focus of a Comcast “Neighborhoods” video that features Mayor Laurie Gere, Park Director Gary Robinson, Museum Education Coordinator Bret Lunsford and local Store owner Frank Michaud. A special thank you to Sabrina Register for highlighting the beauty and diverse options of the area.
