Forest Advisory Board

The Forest Advisory Board is made up of five members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The Forest Advisory Board helps set use policies and recommends an annual budget for management of the Anacortes Community Forest Lands. The Forest Advisory Board provides technical advice to City staff regarding the Anacortes Community Forest Lands. The Forest Advisory Board members also serve in a liaison capacity with interested community groups, citizens, user groups, educational institutions and volunteer service organizations.

Authorizing Resolution and Overview

The Forest Advisory Board was created by Resolution No. 663 found here.

Their are five members of the Forest Advisory Board serving five year terms. These members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.

*At least four members should be residents of the City of Anacortes, with it being permissible for the fifth member to reside on Fidalgo Island.
