  1. Storybook Pumpkin Patch

    Decorate a pumpkin to look like one of your favorite book characters, and bring it to the Anacortes Public Library to plant in our Storybook Pumpkin Patch! Pumpkins will be displayed in the library between Monday, October 14th and Thursday, October 31st. Bring in your pumpkin any day. See flyer for specifics (no cut/carved pumpkins).

    Join us for stories, songs, rhymes and more! Caregivers will learn a variety of songs, fingerplays, bounces and more to help develop early literacy skills. Storytime is at 10:00am and families can stay for open play.

    A professional writer leads this group of aspiring authors. Each session there is a new writing prompt and participants have the chance to share their creative writing with the group. Call the Children’s Department to get on the email list.

  5. 7pm - Mt. Rainier Volcano

    October 16, 2019, 7:00 PM @ Anacortes Public Library

    Dr. Gene Kiver, Emeritus professor from Eastern Washington University, will tell us what we need to know about Mt. Rainer, answering questions you have like: How old is the volcano? When did it last erupt? What is happening to its glaciers? What do the ice caves tell us about the mountain?
